Excellent.

And now to the news that I intended to break here earlier in the week:

I've got a new job!

I start on Monday. I'm rather excited by it all.

Does that mean that you will have funding for your arsenal of
themonuclear doom? What will you be doing (at work, that is, not in your
nuclear plant)?

I just handed in my master thesis for first review and will be giving my
thesis lecture in mid-august - after that I'll work almost full time. I
am excited too!

I'll be working within the UK orthodontist industry, primarily writing
and maintaining software.

The big boon, apart from actually recieving a pay cheque again, will
be that I can carpool with my wife, rather than spend 4 hours a day
driving by myself on a lonely commute.

I hate when it happens. Next time I'll just open it. I'm not christening
a ship (if that's what you call it) or something like that :-)

Ah, that sounds nice. 4 hours in car each day is... quite a lot.

That was 4 hours a day of non-troublesome commuting. One evening it
took more than that just to get home....

...while actually using the software to tap in to the nuclear arsenals
and rerouting the uranium to you secret lab of course (for a certain
value of secret, since everyone in afda knows about it, of course)

But when will you be listening to all your audio books now?

It turns out that there may be times when I'm the only person in the
office, which means I could play them then rather than having the
radio on.
